- Implement and maintain all human resources policies relating to recruitment, promotions, transfers, personnel administration, industrial and employee relations. - Recruiting and interviewing department head and manager level. - Monitor salary and wage administration including the conducting of salary surveys on a regular basis to determine position in the market place. - Administer payroll and employee movement. - Monitor employee probationary period. - Conduct various employee activities including all employee meetings on a regular basis. - Advise executive committee and general manager on human resources issues including employee and industrial relations matters. - Provide advice and assistance to training manager on human resources related matters as and when required. - Produce period end reports for new hires, termination, turnover and resignation reasons. - Maintain manpower control report. - Monitor period end annual and sick leave reports to highlight trends. - Ensure exit interviews conducted for all employees terminating their employments. - Administer employee opinion questionnaire and assist in addressing issues/concerns highlighted. - Ensure job descriptions and person specifications are developed and updated on a regular basis for all positions. - Responsible for ensuring recognition systems for employees and managers are in place. - Knowledge of all benefits available locally and within the market. - Develop and deliver training programs as and when required and assist all managers in training requirements for their departments. - Ensure orientation programs is conducted and followed as per corporate guidelines. - Ensure annual training plan in place as per property requirements. - Assist in career development planning for all departments. - Preparation of budget information of employee relations, training and all salary and wage requirements. - Monitor workers compensation and ensure effective rehabilitation program is in place. - Ensure the safety program such as safety meeting, safety training observed, maintained and enforced. - Responsible for the establishment and functions of the personnel employment and training department. - Establish all hotel practices and policies concerning personnel and employee relations. - Establish goals, training and development of training manager in an assistant the carrying out their daily assignment. - Responsible for maintaining as active source of potential employees to ensure throughout the hotel is staffed. - Plan, implement, and monitor the manning guide, human resources budget and plan - Update human resources strategic plan annually. - Ensure that human resources monthly report is finished on timely basis. - Attend and actively participate department monthly meeting. - Other duties as required or requested from general manager.
