MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
Ensure that food and beverages are noted efficiently, prepared timely and served with high standard quality. Making guests feel welcome and being proactive in assisting and reaching out to them. Offer customer care and assure that they are receiving the best customer experience and take corrective actions when necessary.
Perform regular cleaning activities to ensure high standards of personal and workplace hygiene. Also, performing daily account reconciliations and aligning what is sold with the money in the till.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests and presenting them with a menu in a friendly and timely manner
- Informing guests about special items and menu changes / availability
- Assisting guests with recommendations, taking into consideration their preferences and our most profitable items
- Accurately note food and beverage orders using the provided order slips, relaying them to the kitchen and/or bar and entering them into the POS
- Consistent quality in preparation of drinks
- Setting up the table with the correct cutlery and condiments pertaining the guests order
- Delivering the ordered items in a timely manner
- Checking with customers to make sure they are enjoying their meal and taking appropriate action to correct any problems
- Checking with customers if they have finished their meal and clean / remove dishes
- Accurately prepare, collect, and control bills and customer payments
- Maintain consistent and excellent standard of cleanliness in all aspects of the restaurant
- Perform regular cleaning duties
- Performing regular control and maintenance of Mise-en-place for smooth operation

- Handing over shift in a clean, completed, and organized manner
- Be informed about the menu items and their ingredients and preparation times
- Maintain and replenish stock levels by placing timely orders

- Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Ability to deal with and correctly respond to customer complaints
- Must attend all scheduled training and development sessions
- Follow and apply procedures, lessons, and information learned during training
