The Human Resources Intern supports the HR department in executing core administrative, operational, and project-based functions, including Payment & Cost Control, Onboarding, and Team Member Engagement.

What will I be doing?

As the HR Intern, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

1. Payment & Cost Control Support

• Support in managing team member files and maintaining a systematic filing system in the HR office

• Prepare and process all payment documentation, track the follow-up status of approval submissions, and complete comprehensive reports on labor costs and HR expenditures.

• Assist in completing HR-related reports and forecasts and analyses of labor costs and productivity

• Assist in tracking and updating records of sick leave, medical expenses, and misconduct forms to maintain accurate data for payroll

• Manage office calls, visitor greetings, and stationery procurement to ensure efficient daily administrative operations

• Assist in planning and delivering training programs on HR best practices, labor laws, and goal setting.

• Support employee engagement activities, internal events, and team-building initiatives to foster a positive workplace.

2. Onboarding & Documentation Management

• Assist with the end-to-end onboarding process, including handling the check-in/out procedures for team members and allocating dormitory beds and lockers

• Coordinate employee activities, manage dormitory and locker allocations, and design internal communication collaterals.

• Assist in monitoring grooming standards and staff facility conditions, including the team member restaurant

• Maintain accurate personnel filing systems, process internal memos, and assist with contract.

• Maintain the HR filing system by opening new files, updating team member information, and processing personnel action forms.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned

3. Drive Strategic Projects & Branding

• Actively contribute to Professional Employee Branding, CSR, and Youth Support initiatives, while highlighting talent through the "Thrive at Hilton" program and supporting Talent Development programs.

What are we looking for?

An HR Intern serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

• Associate degree and above.

• Good communication skills in both English

• Fluent in written and spoken English to meet business needs (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above) to effectively handle communication, reporting, explain complex HR situations, ensure all procedures comply with local labour laws, and maintain high accuracy in managing the hotel attendance system and payroll documentation.

• Proficient in computer office software (specifically Excel).

• Good presentation skills. Fluent in written and spoken English to meet business needs.

• Willingness to take on challenges, accept new assignments, and work effectively under pressure.

• Flexibility: Willingness to take on challenges and carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned

• Organizational skills: Good organization and coordination skills with a strong sense of responsibility.
